Carlo Gemmellaro Obituary

GEMMELLARO, Carlo, 84, passed away Oct. 23, 2015. He was born in Nicosia, a mountaintop village in Sicily, southern Italy. He lived in New York City the majority of his life, where he made his living as an expert tailor. He moved to Florida in 1997. Carlo loved classical and Italian music, gardening, and classic films. He was extremely proud of his Italian heritage, and he loved his adopted homeland of the United States. Carlo is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Carmela; his sons, John and Anthony; his daughters-in-law, Cathy and Faye; his grandchildren, John Peter, Krystyna, and Carly; and his brother, Mario. Visitation will be held Oct. 26 at Brewer & Sons Funeral Home, 280 Mariner Blvd., from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8. Funeral Mass will be held Oct. 27 at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church at 11 AM.
