Casey HIGGINS

1974 - 2022

HIGGINS, Casey A. age 47, passed away peacefully at Moffitt Cancer Center on Monday, March 14, 2022, after a short and hard-fought battle with multiple myeloma cancer. Casey was born on May 15, 1974, in Clearwater, FL, to Millard Higgins and Kathleen (Page) Rodekuhr. Casey grew up in Tampa, and graduated from Jesuit High School in 1992. He then attended the University of Florida, and graduated with a Bachelor's in Business in 1996. Go Gators! Upon graduation, Casey secured a job at Tech Data and worked in various sales and managerial roles there from 1996-2002. In 2002, Casey, along with partners, opened XAT Racing. Casey was able to pursue his need for speed by building and selling drift cars. XAT Racing eventually went on to sponsor a professional drift car and driver on the Formula D circuit. In 2008, Casey returned to the tech community in software sales at ConnectWise. He was the 7th salesperson hired and went on to shape the ConnectWise of today, building out New Sales strategy and later taking on Account Management. Casey left ConnectWise in 2019 as Vice President of Partner Experience. In 2020, Casey began working at LionGard and ended his career there as Vice President of Worldwide Channel. Casey was an amazing, loving husband and father. He was truly a man for others, and the best, kindest, most selfless person. He displayed humility always and preferred to be behind the scenes. Casey was a man of few words, but when he spoke, those words held weight. He had a great sense of humor and a quick wit. He was a role model and mentor to so many, and so many colleagues became life-long friends. Casey loved fishing, racing, and was an OG Bucs fan from their inception. He loved music and concerts. Family was everything to him. Casey is survived by his wife of 23 years, Tiffany; children, Austin (26), Tabitha (18), and Hadley (nine); brother, Nicholas (Melanie); sister, Carolyn (James); sister, Sharon (Mike); brother, Curtis (Connie); and mother, Kathleen (Dale). Casey will be missed by many additional in-laws, uncles, aunts, cousins, nephews, and nieces. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, April 2, at 11 am at The Chapel of the Holy Cross at Jesuit High School, 4701 N. Himes Ave., Tampa, FL 33614.
