Curtis Nelson Obituary

NELSON, Dr. Curtis William, age 57 of Dunnellon, Fla., died Friday, April 9, 2004 in Ocala, Fla. Born in Omaha, Neb., he moved to Dunnellon from New Port Richey in January 1998. Dr. Nelson had a medical practice in Hudson for many years and was a former member of the American and Pasco County Medical Association. Dunnellon Main Street. A Catholic by faith, he was a member of the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. Dr. Nelson was a member of the Dunnellon Chamber of Commerce, Rainbow River Conservation Inc.; Friends of Rainbow Springs; former Dunnellon City Council Member and Marion County Comissioner. Preceded in death by son Tyler Nelson, he is survived by wife Jean Kay Nelson of Dunnellon; son, Dax Nelson of Tampa; mother, LuRee Nelson of Omaha, Neb.; and three brothers, George Nelson of Omaha, Neb., Greg Nelson of Minneapolis, Minn., and John Nelson of Inverness, Fla. Visitation for Dr. Nelson will be Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 6:30 p.m. Funeral Mass for Dr. Nel son will be held at 11 a.m on Thursday, April 15, 2004 at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church with Father Eric Peters conducting the services. Cremation will follow with interment in Nebraska. Those who will may make contributions to Dunnellon Main Street, P.O. Box 1994, Dunnellon, FL 34430. Roberts Funeral Home of Dunnellon
