Danny FINLEY Obituary

FINLEY, Danny Lynn was born April 15, 1945 in East Lynn, West Virginia. Also known as The Legendary Panama Red, he passed away at dawn April 29, 2021 in St. Petersburg, Florida after a long and valiant struggle with illness. He was 76. He was a musician, a scientist, a songwriter, a troubadour, and a witness of the human condition. As a proud patriot and veteran he will be interred at Bay Pines National Cemetery with the Honor Guard Monday, May 17, 2021. Panama is survived by his wife, Peppermint Patty; his daughters, Megan, Mercedes, Nicole, and son, Ian; his grandchildren, Roosanneke, Sierra, Savannah, Noah, and Chloe; his beloved sister, Donna, nieces, nephews, and recent great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, we would like to send donations to Heifer International, SEVA, or Doctors Without Borders. A Celebration of Life will take place at Jeff Schorr's Craftsman House Gallery in St. Petersburg, Florida, Saturday, May 22, at 4 pm. All are invited for music, food, and salutations.

No one can prepare you for a loss; it comes like a swift wind. However, take comfort in knowing God is with you and your family lean on him in your time of need. Please accept my most heartfelt condolences.
