Yes you did have a passion for boating to way back when we were kids at about eleven or twelve years old. We went down to the local brook in pouring rain, with the banks overflowing on a warm spring day. We fashioned a makeshift raft of logs and pieces of wood we found, just big enough for the two of us so we could play Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn on the raging Mississipi River. What a glorious day we had! A few years later we went to the Raritan River and built another raft of innertubes and made our own paddles of wood nailed together. We didn't get very far down the river because the nails in the paddles punctured the tubes. We still had lots of fun together. You were my best friend growing up as kids and also my best man at my wedding too! There will always be a place in my heart and in my memories of you. See you some day again on the Mighty Miss. Huck!
Your friend and cousin Tom
