Sending never ending love to Dave and his loving family. Upon meeting Dave many years ago we quickly realized how special he was. It was an instant bond and forever friendship. A true highlight for us every time he came in! Beyond grateful for our many conversations, treasured memories and the precious photos we’ve taken over the years. We just know you’re dancing up there in those awesome kicks we all loved so dearly. I wish peace for your family and an overwhelming sense of presence in your spirit.
We love you all so very much
Love, Rachel and your ecobean family

Oh the many things I learned from this man.
Smiling is contagious. You always felt better after spending time with Dave.
Happy hour is longer than 60 minutes.
Helping others can bring you joy.
Starting your day with coffee and ending it with a martini is enough to make a good day. Having those drinks with friends and family is a great day.
I have never felt more welcome than hanging out with Dave.
I smile as I write this knowing that everyone he met will be toasting him and remembering stories of what an amazing man he was.
Rest knowing yours was a life very well lived!

Uncle Dave had a verve for life that was unmatched. I was lucky enough to be in his orbit on numerous occasions and he made a huge impression on me. The love and positive energy that emanated from him was shared with friends and family with an abundance of generosity.
Rest In Peace Uncle Dave.
With love, Tamara

Patient, kind, fun .. he was indeed special. The love he shared with Phyl was something I was honored to witness. To this day I measure love by their bond - probably why I'm single. I watched that house on the water being built. What should have been nerve wracking and stressful turned out to be fun. They built a dock that went out into the water. At the end of the dock Dave had a crab trap. He'd catch those poor things and boil them. It broke my heart to hear them squeal. So one time, when he wasn't home, I went out on the dock, pulled up that cage and let all the crabs go. True story!! I don't remember if we told him or not but I'm sure he just laughed. Dave and Phyl .. two beautiful people that made my world, everybody's world, better. They had a patent on "It's 5 o'clock somewhere". Thank you Dave for being wonderful.

Sweet Dave! I was blessed to know him when he patronized the Blue Coyote and the Witch's Brew. He and Capt. Buzz were permanent morning fixtures 5 days a week. We laughed together... we cried together.. We went to see President Bill Clinton in St. Pete years ago... one of many great memories. He's with the love of his life now and an angel watching over us now! He's having coffee & martinis with Phyl now!❤❤❤

My sister Lauren and I were so fortunate to have grown up neighbors and to have spent every week spending time at Gramma and Papa’s house - making crafts, putting on plays, going swimming, eating dinners together. It was a special bond that not all grandchildren get to have with their grandparents.
My Papa was a happy-go-lucky man for as long as I can remember and was always sure to make others smile during his weekly trips to the coffee shop. I feel fortunate to have been able to take him to coffee every so often on trips back to Tarpon.
While we will miss him nearly, God called Papa to be with his wife in Heaven nearly 10 years after her passing. May they both rest in eternal love and peace.
