McKibben, David C.

of Largo, unexpectedly passed away on Saturday, September 13, 2025, with his loving partner, Sandra Harclerode, by his side.

David was born on February 5, 1946, in New Castle, PA. He graduated from Flowing Wells High school in Tucson, AZ, in 1964. While in high school, he was class president and a quarterback on the football team. In 1971, David had a life-changing experience while travelling in India. He met Conrad Rooks, who became a friend and asked David to serve as Production Manager on the motion picture, Siddhartha. During this project, David met several people who became lifelong friends.

David was the owner of Hot Dog Beach, a popular bar on Long Island, NY. After selling the business in the 1980s, he moved to Florida to start another successful career in real estate.

David and Sandra spent 24 years together. He was a beloved father/grandfather figure to Sandra's children and grandchildren. David is survived by two nieces and several grandnieces. He was also a doting "Daddy" to Kibbe, his adorable rescue doggy. David had previously raised three awesome dachshunds, Sampson, Delilah, and Zebbe.

David was predeceased by his parents, Collier and Betty McKibben; brother, James; and sister, Linda Dolph.
