David B. Palinsky

PALINSKY, David B., Esq. 49, died Aug. 20, 2012 in Ozona. Survived by his parents Judy (Hill) & James Troutman, Palm Harbor and Jack & Sharon Palinsky, Shirley, MA; grandmother, Shirley Palinsky, Painesville, OH; sister, Dawn McQuilkin (Craig); brother, Ben Troutman (Heidi); stepsisters, Audra and Allison, in MA, & many uncles, aunts, nieces & nephews, OH, MA, & FL. Early years were spent in Fairport Hbr., OH, which he loved. Graduate of the University of Chicago with BA in Chinese & Far Eastern Studies, Washington U., St. Louis, Dr. of Law & MA in Chinese & Far Eastern Studies, also studied at Harvard U. Had law office in NYC until Sept. 11, 2001 when his building on Broadway was sealed for many months. Later he practiced immigration law in Baltimore, Dallas, MA. and FL. He also taught at the Univ. of Taipei, Taiwan and LSAT classes in NYC, also wrote columns for homeland security news and websites. David had a strong passion for the law, academic studies, esp. Mandarin which he wrote and spoke fluently and taught, Zen Buddhism, family, friends from all walks of life, Krav Maga Israeli martial arts, other Eastern arts, physical & mental, sports, and especially dogs (Riley, his love) and cats and small children.To family he was both a delight and challenge as we all can be.David was a long-time friend of Bill's when he chose to be.He was formerly married to Rose Kim of Flushing. He will be missed by many; may he have peace. Both families will have private memorials.
