Denis ROY Obituary
74, of Dade City, FL passed away January 4, 2017 after a brief illness. He is survived by his partner, Linda Jones of Dade City; his ex-wife, Kathleen Roy; three children; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Services will be held 2 pm Sunday January 8, 2017 at the 301 Chapel of Hodges Family Funeral Home 11441 Hwy. 301, Dade City, FL 33525. Donations in his memory can be sent to Gulfside Hospice Care Center 5760 Dean Diary Rd., Zephryhills, FL 33541.

Time continues to pass, yet the pain of losing my lifelong buddy fails to ebb. I pray for his soul every night and simply know that he is covering my left as I approach the goal for the score!

Family , In the five years I knew Dennis, we became the best of friends . We golfed together (for quarters) and we worked together on generators . He and his son Scott came up to our house in Illinois and we had a great time . We were like brothers and I miss him lot. God Bless you Denis, and I will see you later in Heaven. Denis installed and maintained our generator since the mess of the 2004 hurricane season. He was an honest professional and I enjoyed dealing with him. He was more than fair with us. I will always remember his smile. I am so sorry that I won't see him again in this life. My condolences to his family and friends for the loss of such a nice man

I have not yet ceased mourning for the best friend I have had in my 74 years of life. I pray daily that Denis enjoys God's eternal grace forever and that we may meet once again. I am so sorrowful that his former wife did not comment on his passing! God Bless Her Regardless....

Denis Roy was my very closest friend for 60 years! We attended the Oblate Seminary in Bucksport Maine together in 1957 and 1958. We got reunited when Denis and Kathy moved from Mexico Me. to Nashua, NH. We partied as couples, we laughed as couples. Denis and I built fences as a side job for a couple of years.We played hockey at 5am @ Nashua Gardens for several years. He worked with me on several of the homes my wife and I had purchased. He cared for me as I did for him.......I shall miss him greatly for the rest of my life.....

My life with Denis was absolutely the happiest time of my life.
Every person and event sent to me was leading me to him. I am so grateful that of all the women God could have sent to Denis, He sent me. I thank his family for sharing Denis with me. He loved you all so very much! Linda

I'm so sorry to hear of the loss of Denis. He was a friend from back in high school in the late 50's into 61. He was the Best Man at my wedding in 1961 and then Godfather to my second son in 1964. I will cherish the memories that I have of Him. My thoughts and prayers are with all of You..
