It took me a minute to get the courage to write RIP with regards to losing Dereck.
You were more than an Uncle to my boys, you was a pillar in our village, and you created memorable footprints in the lives of so many within our community.
I will definitely miss the countless conversations and that quirky look on your face, if something didn't sound quite right.

In memory of Dereck Lane, heartfelt condolences to the family on the loss of a dynamic man. I met Dereck at the age of 14 when we worked together at GA Foods. He always kept me entertained, and after years went by, we ended up finding out we shared the same nephew, Joshua Williams. I just want to say to the family, you all have to keep the good memories of Dereck alive so he can live in your hearts. Love you all!

Dereck, I can´t even explain the sadness my Heart felt when Niyah, told me you transitioned to Glory, it was a Joyful sadness. You were a great Man who concord a lot, been through a lot but contributed even more, Dereck, this loss is devastating to so many all over the world.
