Donn Goodson

GOODSON, Donn Wayne, 53, of Balm, passed away Wednesday, October 29, 2003. He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Janet Goodson; two sons, Michael Goodson and wife, Jessica and Ricky Goodson; six brothers, Ron, Butch, Steve, Joe, Danny and Tim Goodson; five sisters, Carolyn Waters, Linda Swartsel, Sue Hough, Sandy Machell and Nancy Chase; and three grandchildren, Bryan, Brittni and Cassi. Donn was a loving, caring and giving man, a loving husband, father and grandfather. He loved God and his family was his life. A lifelong Tampa Bay area resident, he was the owner/operator of Goodson Farms, Inc. for 24 years and was a member of Oakwood Baptist Church. He was an honorary deputy sheriff, supported many area youth groups and organi- zations. Donn was an owner and sponsor of several sprint cars that raced all over the southeastern United States. He loved to fly helicopters. He was a close friend and assistant to Billy Harter, a state licensed nuisance alligator trapper. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, November 1, 2003 at First Baptist Church of Ruskin. Active pallbearers will be Mac McGraw, Jimmy Lott, Kenny Whiteside, Rob Hargis, Darrell Wright and Larry Hodge. Honorary pallbearer will be Craig Sovine. Interment to follow at Fellowship Cemetery, Wimauma. Flowers will be accepted, contributions may be made to Gideons International or charity of your choice in Donn's memory. STOWERS-BRANDON
