GLESSNER, Douglas A.

58, of Largo, passed away March 19, 2017 after a 30 year battle with cancer. There is a new life and body now with his Lord, Jesus Christ. He is survived by his brothers, Robert and William. Doug was a Sales Representative for many years at a local fastener and electronic hardware company. Doug will be remembered for his chess wars, a volleyball joust, and thunder spike, his competitive finesse with club and pub dart competition, his expert knowledge of sports, eight years of play in the Half Century softball league and swinging for the fences with over 400 dingers on the same 34 inch 30 oz ComBat before it broke. Contributions may be made to Suncoast Hospice Foundation at www.suncoasthospice.org and Lutheran Church of the Palms at www.lutheranchurchofthepalms.org in Doug's memory. Services and interment will be private.
