We have great memories of Betty Lou on her many visits to Ireland over the years, the last being with Jack at our family gathering in Fitzpatrick´s Castle, Dalkey in Dublin. Betty Lou was such an elegant, gracious lady and always made one feel special.

Betty Lou,
You were a great stepmom, mom in law, aunt, sister, friend, & a wonderful, loving wife to our dad Jack. We love you & will miss you both dearly.
May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind be at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face, & the rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again, may God hold you both in the palm of his hand.

Betty Lou it has been a pleasure knowing you and Jack over the last eleven years. It was always great getting together with you and Jack for cocktails and a game of cards. We shared a lot of good times together going to dinner, golf, and theater. We know that you and Jack are back together in heaven. We will miss our friendship with you and Jack. May God bless you both.

Dear Betty Lou, may your gentle soul rest in eternal peace together with your beloved Jack. I have fond memories of your exciting trip as a young teenager to your Mother's old home in Leitrim seventy years ago. Betty Lou, you were always a wonderful lady, kind, gentle and loving.

We wish Betty Lou eternal peace with her soul-mate Jack that she has gone to join .
We have many happy memories of Betty Lou from her visits here to Ireland and of the years we spent at Penn in Philadelphia more than 50 years ago when Betty Lou,her brother Jim and the Doherty family were so kind to us.
To end in the Irish language of her ancestors:" Sonas siorraí go raibh ag Betty Lou, Jack agus a gclann uile atá imithe roimpe imeasc na naoimh sa bhFlaitheas".

God Bless Aunt Betty Lou and Uncle Jack. They will be greatly missed. I cherish all the great childhood and adult memories that they helped to create from blueberry pancakes in the morning, horse shoes on the beach of Avalon during the day, and a rousing game of pinochle at night around the dinner table. They provided a great path for me to follow as an adult and am honored to have been able spend the time I had with them. I will never for get you.
