Esther Hartley
HARTLEY, Esther Ellis, 85, of Zephyrhills, passed away Monday, April 18, 2005, at the Hernando-Pasco Hospice Care Center in Dade City. She is survived by four daughters, Elizabeth Ann Boyette of Zephyrhills, Eleanor Delores Cole of Zephyrhills, Sue Carol Smith of California and Elaine Halsey of Oklahoma; two sons, Bill Halsey of Valrico and Gene Halsey of Lutz; a brother, Arthur Ellis of Goose Creek, S.C.; and three sisters, Annie Ruth Messina of North Carolina, Jessie Westerfield and Nell Joyce Waller, both of Weeki Wachee; 21 grandchild- ren; 30 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grand- children. Mrs. Hartley was born May 8, 1919, in Colonial Heights, Va., to Harry Bernard and Annie Ruth (Aldridge) Ellis, and came to Zephyrhills in 1964 from Tampa. She was a homemaker and a member of the Beta Sigma Phi. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, April 22, 2005, at Whitfield Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be 1 p.m. at Sunset Memory Gardens in Thonotosassa. The family will rec eive friends Thursday evening, April 21, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
