I met Fede over thirty years ago. We worked together in a travel agency where she shared her knowledge of travel. We were more than coworkers , we were friends. She was the epitome of kindness and elegance. When you were invited to her home, you were treated to wonderful food and conversation. Fede fueled the passion of travel and experiencing the best life had to offer. She and her beloved Alberto travelled the world visiting exotic destinations, but the two places that she loved were her Italian birthplace and the home that she and Alberto built in New Port Richey. Her cousin Giuseppina and I became lifelong friends thanks to her. She shared so much and as her name Fede means "faith" which is apropos as she was a faithful friend. Her life was long and well-lived, but she will be missed. Riposa in pace.

Fede and I met in Pasco County, Florida as neighbors over two decades ago. Although we hadn't known each other for long, it meant a lot to me that she visited me in the hospital after I suffered a bad fall. That was so typical of Fede--always caring for others.
Although the twenty year difference in our ages might have made Fede seem like a mother to me, in her own words "we were more like sisters". At eighty she was more active than I was at sixty! She was still volunteering with hospice, and she made several dear friends there. Fede kept a beautiful home that reflected her good taste and her travels. She shared it with a loving canine companion she called "Ciuffo".
We often walked our dogs together and from time to time we went shopping together. We used to enjoy sharing a Christmas Eve drive through neighboring Longleaf community, admiring the holiday lights on homes.
Over the years, we shared our concerns, our joys and my husband Christopher and I enjoyed many a delicious meal at Fede's home. Serving food is sharing love. Fede was known for her good cooking, and she was an accomplished hostess.
When keeping a three-bedroom home ultimately became impractical for Fede, she moved to a beautiful continuing care community in Pinellas County called Regency Oaks. There she lived independently in a beautiful apartment and made many friends. Eventually she moved to The Colonnade at Carrollwood in Hillsborough County to be nearer to her lifelong friend, Mariolina.
Fede leaves many friends behind, from one Coast to the other, and she has relatives in Italy.
Addio, my dear friend Fede! I was blessed to have had you in my life.

I have such wonderful memories with Fede. As an amazing cook, she shared her recipes with me. My family still enjoys those delicious recipes.
She was such a dear sweet lady. Her hospitality was so remarkable. She always made you feel special and welcomed in her home.
I will truly miss her.
Much love and sympathy to the family and friends during this difficult time. May the happy memories we have of Fede stay close in our hearts
