Fitzgerald Peterkin Obituary

PETERKIN, Fitzgerald G. 82, of Land O' Lakes, passed away July 1, 2011. He was born in Kingston, Jamaica, moved to Canada in 1960, then relocated to New York in 1971 before residing in Florida in 1983. He was a graduate of Fordham University in New York, Class of 1979, where he received his Master's Degree in Social Work. Mr Peterkin was a retired Licensed Clinical Social Worker for the State of Florida, Department of Children & Families Services and was a faithful member of Tampa First Seventh-Day Adventist Church. He is survived by his loving wife, Enid Peterkin of Land O' Lakes; daughters, Geraldine "Geri" of Lauderdale Lakes, Pauline of Garnerville, NY; sons, Donovan (Diane) of Orlando, David of New City, NY; daughter, Maureen of Valrico; son, Dwayne (Joanne) of Land O' Lakesl; grand-children, Sean, Gavin, Toni-Ann, Rennie, Marcus, Tyler, Xavier and Calandra; and great grandchildren, Sean, Jr and Nicuary. The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 6th at Tampa First Seventh-Day Adventist Church, from 10 am until service at 11 am. A repass will follow. A committal service will be held at 2 pm Wednesday at Chapel Hill Cemetery in Dade City, Florida. In lieu of flowers, please send memorial contributions to the Fitzgerald G.
