FRANKIE D - A Star of Energy

Your energy was loving kindness and creative genius!
One of these gifts in a person is amazing.
Two of these gifts embodied you!

You touched people we will never know -in body with ink and in spirit with love!

Some of those people we are blessed to know "now" from your family, your friends and your tat shop.

The STAR you are will be greatly missed but will shine brightly through all who knew and loved you!

Frankie - We will always "Think of Him and You!

Love to your family and friends,

Dearest Donna and Family,
We were on vacation when we received the sad news. The family tells me that Frank's services were beautiful. We were there in spirit and though.
May all of the beautiful memories of his life give you comfort at this time. He was a handsome and talented young man.
Our deepest sympathy and love go out to you, your Dad and all of the family.
May God bless you and comfort you during this time of sadness.

With a very sad heart I write this entry. Although, my time knowing Frankie was brief, I considered him a good friend. I thank God for the opportunity to be blessed with his presence in my life. I will never forget are impromptu hookups at Starbucks. He was a loving and generous man who allowed us to all to get close to him without judgment or pretense. I will always remember the bible studies we had in his tattoo shop as some of my best times with him. We will meet again my brother.

I met Frankie through the Vetters. He started as my tattoo artist (starting a master piece on my back in memory of my husband who passed away at age 31) and ended up becoming a friend. My daughter wanted Frankie to do her first tattoo in memory of her daddy when she turned 18 and is sad that he can not be her artist. My heart hurts for his daughter ( as I know how my daughters heart hurts from he daddy being gone) and little brothers who he loved so much and spoke of often. My husband loved tattoos (21 of them to be exact)and he now has the best artist and friend to do his ink while we are all at a loss. Frank you will be missed greatly!

Knowing that Frankie knows the Lord helps me to understand why he went home so soon. It is sad that he's gone however; it is joyful knowing that he is in God's house today. One day, we will see him again and be able to enjoy Frankie's love forever.

My prayers are with Frankie's family that they find comfort and peace.

what a wonderful guy frankie was. so chipper, and always made people laugh. I always laughed when he would be singing in my ear sometimes saying the wrong words when he was tattooing. we could always rely on eachother with advice and venting. the eight years ive known him are definitely embraced and cherished. frankie will be greatly missed.

Frankie, i met you when i was 17, you were the attractive tattooed man that i'd see riding around st.pete or downtown on one of your many scooters or that awesome ford falcon with the leopard print interior that you loved so much! you gave me my first tattoo at 18 and we had a great friendship through the years. i remember how excited you were for opening your own shop and i was proud that you were being able to accomplish one of your biggest dreams and goals. you always were able to cheer me up when i was feeling down in the dumps or having a lousy day and i looked up to you numerous times for advice on things in the past. i have some beautiful work forever on my skin that will always be apart of me and that i will always be able to look back on and think of you and the great memories i was so lucky to have made from being your friend. i am so sorry that i wasn't around too much this past year, but it was hard for me to see you not at your best. i certainly hope with everything that you are at utmost peace up in your heaven, looking down at all of us who will love and miss you and the times we got to share. you had a heart of gold and a big caring soul that brightened and touched a lot of peoples lives in the past 35 years. we are all lucky to have known you for the time that we did, even though that time was cut way too short. thank you Frank Donofrio for being the warm and kind hearted person that you were and for giving me the honor of knowing your friendship the time that i did, and for sharing your amazing talent with not only me but all of us. i know you will always be looking down on us from up above and showering us with your love. may you always rest in peace. you will be extremely missed. thank you for being a great friend to me <3 -caroline

I am still trying to wrap my head around the news of Frankie's passing. I can't even begin to say what an amazing human being he was. We met 13 years ago and from the first time I met Frank he has held a special place in my heart. I am so deeply sorry for the pain his family and friends are feeling right now. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. May you find some comfort from one another. May you go fly high with the angels Frankie.
