Genevieve HAYDUKE Obituary

HAYDUKE, Genevieve Ellen "Gene"

was received by our Holy Father Monday, Jan. 5, 2015. She was born in Utica, NY and was a student in the Crouse-Irving Memorial Hospital Nursing Program. She married in 1954 and moved to Liverpool, NY to raise a family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roger and Genevieve Crowe and her brother, Dennis Crowe. Gene is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Philip; her eight children, John (Jeanne), Thomas (Peggy), Theresa (James), Philip (Cathy), James (Tracey), Raymond (Lindy), Cathleen (Richard), and Mary (Rodney); her 30 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren; her sisters-in-law, Betty Hayduke and Margaret Crowe, and many nieces and nephews. A devoted mother and homemaker, Gene was active in the Women's Club at St. John Vianney Catholic School where she served as President. She participated regularly in the events of her ladies' Tuesday Group and spent countless hours babysitting her grandchildren. Above all, she set the standard for living a life of moral virtue and unending devotion to her Catholic faith. A tribute to Gene's life will be held Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2015 from 5-7 pm at James Reese Funeral Home. A funeral mass will be offered Friday, Jan. 9, 2015 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church at 10 am with interment to follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Gene's name to the Catholic Diocese of St. Petersburg or Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Please visit the online guestbook at www.ReeseFuneral.com
