Jerrie Moore and I met on the sidewalk during the early days of our move to Tampa. My husband and I quickly became super friends while enjoying donuts, music, movies, social gatherings, ball games, and daily chats.
After a cold winter which damaged some of our bushes, we decided to replace the bushes with a small front area patio. Jerrie, who was always looking pretty and perky, volunteered to help us with this construction project. On work day, she appeared in work clothes with her water jug, ready to mix and spread concrete. She stayed the course throughout the project´s completion which allowed us to enjoy morning coffee and chatting with folks passing by with their dogs.
Jerrie was the most generous and thoughtful person I´ve ever known. She was very involved with her church, Idlewild Baptist. She shared her faith on many occasions.
She was so determined to get well. She gave it her all-out effort. She will be missed and we loved her dearly.
