Hedley Bursey

BURSEY, Hedley 85, passed away peacefully Aug. 17, 2008 at the Hospice House Woodside, Pinellas Park. Born in Old Perlican, Newfoundland, Canada, to Mary and William Bursey. Mr. Bursey was a long time resident of Saugus, MA and St. Pete Beach. He enjoyed a long career as a union iron worker, as a member of Local #7 in Boston. Known for having a kind, compassionate spirit and willingness to help others, he had many friends and a family who loved him. He will be deeply missed. Survived by his wife, Thelma (Trudel) Bursey; his son, Bruce Bursey, of Ottawa, Canada; his daughter, Meredith DeLeo and her husband Joseph of Peabody, MA; his sister, Audrey Peach and her husband Eric of Wakefield, MA; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Mr. Bursey was predeceased by his daughter, Karin LeDrew and grandson, David LeDrew. A memorial service will be held at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, 185 Lake St., off Rt. 1 S, Peabody, MA at 12 pm Sept. 6, 2008.
