Herman Young Obituary

YOUNG, Herman Richard, age 73, of Brooksville, died Tuesday, December 6, 2005, at his home. He was born in Brooksville, and was a lifelong resident. He worked for Florida Rock Industries with 36 years of service, was a U.S. Navy Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, dedicated to his hunting dogs, and a member of the Fiber Factory Hunting Club of Gulf Hammock for 32 years, the Moose Lodge #1676, the VFW both of Brooksville and Eden Baptist Church. Preceded in death by his son, Earl Young; a brother, James Young; and a sister, Leona Billups. Survivors include his sons and daughters-in-law, Paul and Kathy Young, of Brooksville, Vern and Sylvia Young, of Houston, Texas, Alan and Tammy Young, of Brooksville; daughter, Cherie Ladner, of North Wales, Pa.; brother, Clarence Young, of Floral City; nine grandchildren, Floyd and Joy Young, Thomas and Andrew Ladner, Christopher and Traci Lynne Young, Brenda Lopez Young, Nicole and Asa Young; two great grandchildren, Haley and Jacob Young. A Memorial Service will be conducted 12 p.m., Saturday, December 10, 2005, at the Merritt Funeral Home, Brooksville Chapel, with Pastor Richard Drankwalter of Christ Lutheran Church officiating.
