Jim was a wonderful and dear friend, and a man of many varied talents. He was a published author, who wrote the Nick West spy thriller series as well as several children's books. Jim was also an exceptional wildlife and landscape photographer, as well as a terrific people photographer who was always in demand to shoot events, particularly cancer charity eventsone of Jim's passions. He liked sporty cars, he liked collecting guitars, and he loved to travel, but most of all he loved being surrounded by his wonderful family. Jim told me numerous times that he was always astounded that Cathy and the kids and the grandkids were his family, and that he just couldn't believe how lucky he was.
