WILCOX, James Howard resident of Spring Hill, Florida, passed away on June 9, 2021, at age of 92. Jim was a devoted husband and father. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Martha Wilcox; his son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Gina Wilcox; and grandchildren, Taylor Wilcox, Kara Wilcox, Jackson Wilcox and Tory Sylvestre. He is predeceased by his daughter, Nora Sylvestre and brother, Dick Wilcox. Jim was born in Hilliard, Ohio on March 29, 1929, to the late James C. And Florence R. Wilcox. He graduated from Hilliard High School in 1948, The Ohio State University in 1953 with a BS in Accounting. After graduating, he served as a 1st Lieutenant, in the U.S. Army stationed in Landshut, Germany with the the 2nd Battalion 6th Armored Cavalry Regiment. After serving his country, he went on to an accounting career at General Motors and Xerox Corporation retiring to Florida in1989. In retirement, he enjoyed traveling, fishing, and telling stories from his time in the service, but his passion was golf, which the highlight was playing Pebble Beach with his son. He still played three times a week into his 90's with his good friends and standing foursome (Jim, Jack, Wally and Carroll), with the goal of shooting his age. Jim's beautiful smile and always happy demeanor will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew him. A burial service will be scheduled at the Sarasota National Cemetery at a future date.

Aunt Marty, Jimmy and family, I am so truly sorry to hear of uncle Jim‘s passing. I have such fond memories of him and he was always able to make me laugh. He was a good man. Taking care during this difficult time. Love from San Diego and Julie, Jon and Payton.
