Ron,
I have just learned of Jean's passing and am so sorry to hear this news. Jean was a valued and insightful member of our LPMI Theological Reflection group. She had a beautiful gift for quietly and prayerfully expressing her deep insights into what the scriptures meant for her and without fail, helped our group to see God a bit more clearly.
I will miss having her at our table as we begin this next LPMI year, but know without a doubt, Jean is now at the table of our Lord.
I pray for comfort in the arms of Jesus for Jean and your family.

A friend for many years, and a woman who encouraged others to learn about Catholic Lay Pastoral Ministry. A woman with a sense of humor--Jean would listen respectfully, then come up with a zinger! Jean, as a Toastmaster, I believe heard God's speech for her, "Welcome daughter. Well done, good and faithful servant." RIP, Jean. We'll meet again.

Ron, while we've never met, I wanted to extend my condolences to you on the passing of your dear wife, Jean, as I will be out of town on Saturday and can't attend the funeral. Jean attended SEASONS, the woman's Bible study I facilitate at St. Matthew. She was with us for several sessions, and she and I connected twice in recent months with long conversations that helped me get to know her much better. She was always encouraging and supportive to me, regarding our connection of SEASONS, both in person and via e-mail. Her lovely smile, inquisitive nature and deep desire to grow in her faith were beautiful gifts she shared freely. In the last month many women from SEASONS were praying for Jean, and we're saddened for you, her family and all who knew and loved her. Knowing her great faith, though, we rejoice in knowing she is now experiencing ever-lasting joy with Jesus! May His grace give you and your family peace at this time. As Jean always closed her e-mails to me with "Cheerio!," may good cheer in time be your companion as you remember her love for you. (She told me you were a saint! You must be quite a man!)
