I remember attending our APWU Conventions, All Craft Conferences, and other union events and seeing Jack. He was ever so present, caring, and showed great love for our union. He, of course, would attend the retiree conference, craft Conferences, but would also make sure that he visited the young workers conference and connected with APWU youth. He loved being around everyone. He would ride around on his scooter with his poncho and camera, taking pictures throughout the events. I called him when I didn't see him at the convention in 2024 and he informed me that he wouldn't make it. When I looked for him today at the All Craft Conference in Vegas, I learned of his passing. He is missed, and it's not the same. I feel his presence on his scooter, his smile, his poncho, and his camera. Rest well Jack, you were a faithful servant. Funny seeing 'John' Gose. I knew him as 'Jack' Gose for 44 years and stood alongside him at several APWU National Conventions. I am still a dues paying member of the APWU, even though I retired almost 28 years ago, thanks to Jack. He was, and is, an inspiration for unionism. R.I.P. friend.
