John Nasharr Obituary

NASHARR, John 83, of Clearwater, died Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2007. He was born in Damascus, Syria, on Oct. 8, 1924, and came to the United States when he was 19. An entrepreneur of his own apparel manufacturing business, he lived in New York City most of his life, then retired to Clearwater about 20 years ago. He was proud of his heritage and proud to be a citizen of the U.S. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Renee; and his brothers and sisters. He is survived by more than 80 nieces, nephews, godchildren, and many dear friends. He recently went to Syria to visit family but, due to health complications, he became very ill, died, and was buried in Damascus. Family and friends may visit the cemetery to pay their respects to Renee and John Nasharr at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, 5233 118th Ave. North in Clearwater, 727-572-4355. If you wish to contact family, you may call, 630-665-7237.

November 7, 2007

My name is Len Vivolo from Light Of Christ Catholic Church where John and Renee attended Mass. I was the bus driver that drove them to and from Mass on Sundays. Occasionally, I would pick John up during the week to go to Calvary Catholic Cemetery to pay respects to his beloved wife Renee. John was truly a gentleman to everyone and was always appreciative of the ride to church. I was saddened to hear of his passing and will always remember him for his kindness and gentle personality. May our Lord grant him eternal rest and salvation.
