John C. Reid Sr.

REID, John C., Sr., 78, of Tampa, passed away Dec. 12, 2002. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1942 to 1945 on the USS Borie DD215, and the USS Courage PG70, UDT13, and was a truck driver for most of his life.He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby; and is survived by his daughters, Gay Powers, Jackie Smith, Linda Stay, Deb Liquori, Mary Mathews; sons, Glen Hale and John Reid, Jr.; 20 grandchildren, and 28 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2002, at the Garden of Memories Chapel, 4207 E. Lake Avenue. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
