My Dear Friend Marie, Mrs. Dauphinais, Joey, Carol, Denise, Adele, Mark and Suzanne, How sad I was to hear of Dr. Dauphinais' passing. Although the miles and years have kept us apart you all remain in my thoughts. Fond memories of time spent at your home, weddings, family parties, dinners, going to the lake, sleepovers with Marie and always Dr. Dauphinais' talks with me about how things were going and oh the never ending questions that I dreaded as a teenager. He took great interest in our lives and gave wonderful advice. He and you, Mrs.Dauphinais were like my second parents loving and caring. Those cherished memories will remain with me always. Please know that this special man, husband, father, friend, touched not only your lives but the lives of countless others that he crossed paths with and will be sadly missed.

Dear Dauphinais family,

My name is Mark Potvin. I now reside in Ottawa. My mother's name is Helen Sullivan (married to Roger Potvin). I am a cousin of the Conveys & McGonigals from Arnprior.
My mom's siblings were Richard, Mary, Nora, and Anne. They were brought up by Mort Sullivan..right across the street from your home.
I have just read the Ottawa Citizen obituarys and was saddened to hear about Doctor Dauphinais.

I spent many days playing on your porch in Arnprior and had many occasions to visit with Dr D.(I was accident prone). He was a great doctor, very kind and gentle.
My childhood has lots of great memories from the 'Prior(the beauty spot of the Ottawa Valley)

Please accept my sympathies & prayers

My condolences on the loss of a truly family doctor - one that made house calls. I still remember his coming to the house in his pj's in the middle of the night to stop a bleeding gum from a tooth extraction. He did many thoughtful and helpful things to help needy families before the advent of all the social benefits one enjoys today. And to Marie - I still think of you fondly and wonder where your life has led you friend. Many thanks for letting us know of your father's passing. With love from Arnprior.

To everyone, we remember Dr. Dauphinais and all of you and send our sincere sympathy on your loss. My mother, Gwen, and sometimes with me, babysat all the children at the big house on Madawaska St. in Arnprior many, many years ago. I remember the many way they could hide in that house. May your wonderful memories of a special smiling man and father, and of a much respected doctor help to carry you through this time.
May God bless you all and comfort you.
Sincerely Frederica (Hale) Webb

I have so many wonderful memories of Uncle Joe. When I was a little girl, he told us so many funny jokes which I retell to my grand-kids today !! Even though miles separated him from his siblings, he always made a point to stay connected to them with visits and phone calls. He truly has touched many lives in such a positive way. My Mom and Dad (Marcel & Lorraine) thought the world of Uncle Joe.

Our sympathies to Aunt Maureen and Uncle Joe's children. We parted on his last visit to St.Albert, with a hug instead of the usual handshake. The fondness that had grown between us over the years made a hug more appropriate. Uncle Joe had that affect on people. To know him was to love him. My wife Carmel will miss his phone calls on her birthday. He never forgot anyone.

With great respect and love
