Karen CHRISTIANSEN

CHRISTIANSEN, Karen Gilbertson, 87, of Tarpon Springs, Florida, was called home to the Father, Friday March 28, 2014 at her home. A celebration of life service will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, April 5th at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 8320 Old County Road 54, New Port Richey, FL 34654. Inurn-ment will follow at Trinity Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association. Karen was born January 6, 1927 in Menominee, Michigan to Harry and Ann Gilbertson. After graduating from Menominee High School, she received a Diploma from the Saint Francis School of Nursing in Peoria Illinois. She married Donald Christiansen (deceased in 2013) and raised six child-ren in Milwaukee before moving to Tampa, FL and finally retiring in the Tarpon Springs area. Karen enjoyed rosemaling painting, reading, finding great deals while shopping and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Karen is survived by her 2 daughters Linda Haas and Jane Ziolkowski and 4 sons, Peter, Bruce, Dan and Jon, 13 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren.
