Karen ROWND

ROWND, Karen Elizabeth (McCormick) formerly of Upper Arlington, OH passed away on January 10, 2022 in Tampa, FL. She was a graduate of Columbus North High School; Stephens College and the University of Missouri, Columbia, MO. She worked for BankOne; AccuRay; James H. Rownd Law Office; and was Archivist at Delta Gamma Executive Offices prior to moving to Tampa Palms in 2003. Karen was a member of Lake Magdalene United Methodist Church in Tampa; Trinity United Methodist Church, Marble Cliff, OH; Delta Gamma Fraternity; and Tampa Palms and Hunters Green Country Clubs in Tampa. She was a lifetime Riverside Methodist Hospital volunteer and Lifetime member Ohio State Alumnae Assn. Karen was preceded in death by her parents, Harry A. and Helen E. McCormick and her husband, James H. Rownd. She is survived by her estranged son, Richard O. Ferguson, wife Dana; grandson, Ryan David Ferguson; and granddaughter, Danillle Olivia Ferguson, of Waxhaw, NC. A visitation will be held 4-6 pm on February 1, 2022 at the Blount & Curry Funeral Home - Carrollwood, 3207 W. Bearss Avenue, Tampa, Florida. A funeral service will be held at a later date at the Schoedinger Northwest Chapel, 1740 Zollinger Rd., Columbus, Ohio. Burial will follow the service at Greenlawn Cemetery in Columbus. Family requests donations to Delta Gamma Foundation, 3250 Riverside Dr., Columbus, OH 43221 to be used for Collegiate Scholarships for MU (Missouri) Chapter in Karen's memory.
