Lawrence Shelanski Obituary

SHELANSKI, Lawrence John, known as Bob or Larry, 81, passed away March 1, 2012 at Tampa General Hospital after a short illness. He was born on March 26, 1930 in East Moriches, Long Island. Mr. Shelanski lived in Riverhead and Westhampton, Long Island most of his life until moving with his family to Tampa on Aug. 8, 2011. He worked for many years until he retired from Central Suffolk Hospital in Riverhead, Long Island in March 1993. He loved being around family and friends. Mr. Shelanski is predeceased by his son, Robert "Bobby" Baker (12-9-11) and is survived by his wife of 50 years, Ida Shelanski; daughter, Karen O'Neal; son, Mark Shelanski; grandchildren, Kelly O'Neal, Ronald O'Neal, Antonio Cutler, Christian Cutler, Adrianna Dyson, Brianna Dyson; great- granddaughters, Jazmine Kasprzyk and Kelsey Kasprzyk. Cremation was private. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Happy 82nd Birthday, we love and miss you deeply. Words of comfort may be expressed at floridamortuary.com.
