Lucille Morgan Obituary

MORGAN, Lucille P., 83, of Brandon, went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, February 11, 2004. She was born, January 1 1921, in Granville Co., N.C. and moved to Florida in 1998 coming from Durham, N.C., where she lived and worked most of her life. She was preceded in death by her husband, James P. Morgan. While in Durham, she was a member of Trinity Community Church (formerly Christian Missionary and Alliance Church) and worked 40 years at Liggett & Myers Tobacco Co. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Carol Morgan Galloway and Ralph of Valrico; brother, James Pleasants of Sanford, Fla.; sister, Della Medlin of Wendell, N.C.; four grandchildren, Matthew Galloway of Valrico, Sonia Griswold of Centerville, Ohio, Tommy Galloway of Stamford, Conn., and Gary Galloway of Chapel Hill, N.C.; and four great-grandchildren. A graveside service was held at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell by Dr. Thomas Green, Pastor of First Baptist Church of Brandon, where Mrs. Morgan was a member si nce moving to Brandon. The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Baptist Church Foundation. SERENITY MEADOWS FUNERAL HOME, Riverview/Brandon.
