Margaret Cohen Obituary

COHEN, Margaret A., 83, passed away January 23, 2006. She was preceded in death by her parents Katherine and Edward Jones; her husband, Leonard Cohen; her son, Barry W. Piatt; and her grandsons, Leonard "Lenny" and Barry "Bar-Bar" Gilpin. She is survived by her caring and devoted son, Garry E. Cohen; her daughter, Michelle Gilpin; her son, Randall L. (Megan) Cohen; her loving and devoted grandchildren, Tara Lynn Gilpin, Elisa Margaret Cohen, Garry E. Cohen II and Gina Piatt; many other grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her devoted daughter-in-law and friend, Carmen M. Cohen-Gonzalez; her precious doggie, Misty; and many friends and relatives who will miss and love her always. Margaret was a loving and caring person to everyone she met. She helped throughout their lives in the raising of her grandchildren, leaving them a legacy of love and kindness that will live in their hearts for always. She was a steadfast champion of all animals, as a lifelong contributor to The Humane Society and a ll of the strays she took in throughout the years. She loved her children with all of her heart and soul, and all she asked of them was to live decent and productive lives and to just be happy. She was a selfless person without judgment of others to thrive. She would prefer that we smile and shed a tear of joy in thoughts of her, than a tear of sorrow. She is home and has been welcomed by the loved ones who made it there before her. You will forever be loved for all of your wisdom, love and kindness, Mom. We love you! LHFF1
