Mark MAZUREK Obituary

32, went home to Heaven on Tuesday, June 6, 2017. Mark leaves behind his parents, Karen and William Mazurek; his brother, Jonathan and wife Shannan Mazurek; and his fiance;e, Michelle Campbell.

Along the way, Mark survived a brain tumor and numerous health trials and tribulations but always joked and smiled through all his adversity. He once appeared on the David Letterman Show as a Kid Inventor (his cool fork) and left the audience in stitches with his bantering with Mr. Letterman. Mark also appeared on the 'Figure It Out' Game Show on Nickelodeon and in addition to winning the grand prize left numerous smiles with his jokes. After that Mark wrote for the St. Petersburg Times Kids Page for a period of time and always produced a positive uplifting article.

Throughout Marks life he was proud to be known as a 'NERD'. He enjoyed Star Wars, Anime, Role-Playing and every gaming system known.

Mark attended Our Lady of Lourdes, Clearwater Central Catholic High School and Saint Petersburg College.

Mark later began volunteering at the Palm Harbor Library (one of his absolute loves in life) which led to a part-time staff position. Mark also attended Saint Petersburg College and recently graduated with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Paralegal Studies. His ambition was to attend law school and become a Lawyer.

Mark played the Ukulele with gusto and had gotten quite good.

He is survived by many aunts; uncles; cousins; his great-aunt, Rita; and numerous family members.

Visitation will be held at Curlew Hills Funeral Home on Monday, June 12, at 9:30 a.m. Service will follow the visitation at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Dunedin, FL.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Marks name for the 'Raise the Roof Campaign' at the Palm Harbor Library, 2330 Nebraska Ave., Palm Harbor, FL. 34683

I met Mark on my visits at the PH library and he was so helpful and kind to me and my daughters. My daughter was working on reading for the battle of the books and Mark was giving her advice for keeping notes and gave her encouraging words to keep reading. I was shocked when I saw the post on the PH Library page. I would like to send my condolences to the family and let them know they are in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

I only knew Mark from my visits to the library. He was the nicest young man and would chat with me as if we were long time friends. I was truly shocked and very sad to find out about his passing. I would like to tell his parents that I will pray for them as I know their pain. I too lost a young adult child in December. I will pray for healing and peace for all who loved him.

Mark was a wonderful young man! He was a former student of mine, and he always impressed me with his kindness, positive attitude and desire to succeed. He was a joy to have in class. He always treated others with respect, and he wasn't afraid to stand up for what was right. He was just a good person. The world has loss a great human being, but heaven is a little brighter because he is there. He will always be in my heart!

Mark was the most kind, caring, genuine, hilarious, silly, helpful, heartwarming, and likable guy. He always had a smile on his face and something nice to say. His customer service was unparalleled. He touched many people's lives. I respected him as a coworker and truly liked him as a person. The library will not be the same without him. His indelible mark will forever be at the Palm Harbor Library.
