Mercelant OCEAN Obituary

OCEAN, Mercelant passed away on Tuesday, May 27, 2014. Home going celebration will be held Saturday, June 7, at 10 am, Northeast United Methodist Church, 6400 N. 15th Street, Rev. Michelet Manius, pastor officiating. Interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Marcelant Ocean was born Jan. 3, 1970, to the Mercean Ocean and Celyssa Beneche in Haiti. He was a member of Gethsemane Church. He leaves to cherish his memories with wife, Marie Ocean; children, Milene Ocean, Melissa Ocean and Makayla Ocean; brothers, Wasemet Oxxegnan, Jusner Ocean, Wiltho Ocean, Aolmi Ocean, Wiljean Ocean, Ivener Ocean and Maxo Ocean; aunts, Nasira Christian, Nervely Ocean and Lese Grace Ocean; uncles, Elivoir Presmy, Choisilice Beneche and Sereste Beneche; nieces, Belanchie Ocean, Kerlisha Ocean, Chrislove Ocean and Jenny Ocean; nephew, Gladmir Ocean; cousins, Fito Deravil, Raynold Ocean, Exetois Joseph and Gasnel Dard; goddaughters, Marsha Francois and Michenerlin Manius; friends, Beremy Jean, Estra Cantave, Jacques Francois, Daniel Jean, Joes and Jean Vilssaint; and a host of other relatives and friends. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, June 5 from 5-8 pm. The family will receive friends from 5- 6 pm. Family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.
