Mr & Mrs Hellwig, Amy, Chrissy & Brian,

I have been thinking all morning of what I could say to offer my deepest condolences, but the only thing I could do was pray. Words can not express the level of heartfelt sympathy I feel at the loss of your dear son, loving brother & wonderful uncle to those sweet nieces of his. My heart sank when I got the call early Saturday morning from my sister. I can’t even imagine what you are going through. Although I lost my mother when I was just 12, nothing prepares you when you lose a child…it’s not suppose to happen that way. We will never understand why God needed to take him at this time. He is your precious angel and he will be watching over all of us…You can count on that!
I do want to thank you so much for the honor of knowing Mike. From the first time I met him, I knew there was something special about him. Right away I knew what a sweet, caring & absolutely goofy and hilarious man he was. He made me laugh so hard at times that I’d have to tell him to stop. Not because I didn’t enjoy laughing with him but because I thought I’d crack a rib! That wouldn’t stop him though. Once our fun began, he was on a roll! And if we couldn’t hang out in person, we’d talk & laugh over the phone. His jokes & one-liners were the best, especially when you’d call him. “91, 92, 93…Oh sorry, I was doing some push-ups. What’s up, what’cha doing?”. He was such a loyal, caring & honest friend and I'm thankful to of had that sweet friendship with him. He was definitely a true one-of-a-kind and I will miss him dearly with all of my heart & soul!
I will be praying without ceasing for you all during this difficult time and I take comfort in knowing that he is with our Lord now. May God's unending love surround you and keep you in your faith as you deal with your tragic loss. May GOD shine his light so bright in this time of darkness.
"Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted" Matthew 5:4... God Bless you All.

Much Love,

Margie Coffin
