Michael Tsalickis Obituary
91, Jungle Mike's journey came to an end December 17, 2018 in Tarpon Springs, Florida, surrounded by his loving family. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of almost 40 years, Cecilia Tsalickis; mother and father, and brothers, George and Steve. He is survived by his six children; Marie, Michael, Krisula, Asteropi, Dimitri and Georgie; also, 21 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and sister, Goldie. Mike was born in Tarpon Springs to Maria and Dimitri Tsalickis. He started his adventures at a very young age with his love of animals. His journey took him to the Amazon to grow his business of tourism and exporting of animals. He had an extraordinary life of traveling, the opening of his zoos, movies in National Geographic, features in Guinness Book of World Records, built hospitals in the amazon, airports, and put the Amazon on the map for tourism. Throughout it all he never missed an opportunity to help anyone in need. At a young age, he was the youngest Eagle Scout in the U.S of his time. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm ,Thursday, December 20, 2018 at St. Michaels Shrine, 113 Hope St. Tarpon Springs, FL 34689 for the viewing. The Funeral will take place at 12 pm Friday, December 21, 2018 at St. Nicholas Cathedral 36 N. Pinellas Ave., Tarpon Springs, FL 34689.
