It took me three days to find her true name which is typical. The shop and her were part of my life for 15 years until 2006 when I moved to Tennessee for a fresh start. Mimi had a smile that could knock you back a step and always gave me good advice no matter how rattled a problem made me. I first met while undergoing Lithium treatment and she never once made me feel less of a man because of having a condition. She was the kind of friend that made you want to stay in touch and that lasted until Covid and the nonsense that came with it. I called her shop from TN out of the blue after roughly 7 years and it was if I'd never moved and we caught up and I sent a local Country Cookbook and received a trendy T shirt of the 'burg is going off.' One of reasons our friendship never got stale is because we never said goodbye. It was always, see you later and that is what hurts the most. Rest in Peace Meems.
