I am the widow of Police Officer Porfirio Soto killed in 1988, when my little boy was 9 months old. Even 21 years later, it still hurts when I hear something like this happening. Mike was a childhood friend of my brother's and he and Paul were like family to me. I have so many fond memories of him. Mike came to visit a few years back when my daughter was young. Even though he was only at our house for a few hours she has always remembered him. Mike was hard to forget. We hope that the memories you have will ease your pain in time.

There are times when everything in life is going great and then suddenly without worning devastation.
Your life seems to become a haze. And you function, but truly not of yourself. As much as the pain of suffering seems to overwhelm you. The process of healing must proceed,

Many tears have been shed and many more are sure to come - the mourning process is the most difficult process that any one should have to endure. Because that someone special is missing. But please don't dismay because the best gift of love you can give to MIKE is to live your life to the fullest.
