It's still so surreal for me to think of Pastor Davis' passing. I've known him for many years. He used to teach us in YPWW (Young People's Willing Workers) in our church. I was a teenager then. He was a close friend of our family, my Pastor in later years, I even flew with him in a single-engine Cessna airplane many times when he first started flying (he was inspired to fly because of my father obtaining his pilot's license after WWII - he wanted to fly in combat, but because he was African-American, he wasn't allowed to fly, but he took flying lessons through the veterans classes after tour of duty was completed. Pastor Davis was a good man of God, a family man who loved his wife and family very much, and he loved his church family and people in general, regardless of their race. He's rejoicing in Heaven now with our Heavenly Father, Jesus, His Son, and He's met Holy Spirit too. Praise the Lord!
