Natalie STEFFGEN Obituary
(Poppens) age 86 of Greenville, NC and formerly of Florida and Lake Geneva, WI, passed to eternal life on Monday, May 22, 2017 in Greenville, NC. Natalie was born in Chicago, IL to the late Clyde and Viola (Bandlow) ViPond. Natalie was widow of Floyd Steffgen from Lake Geneva. She graduated from USF and taught elementary school in Pinellas County, and was well-known to her students as Mrs. Poppens. She is survived by her three sons, Peter (Shelly) Poppens of Bryson City, NC, Larry (Nyssa) Raymond of St. Petersburg, Jeffrey Poppens of Greenville, NC; and granddaughter, Laurie Poppens. Preceded in death by her parents; sister, Jacquelyn Eiffer; brother, Clyde ViPond; as well as her former husband, Ray Poppens. Private services were held, with interment at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lake Geneva. Steinke-Lazarczyk Funeral Home, Lake Geneva, is proudly serving the Steffgen family.
