O.J. Murdock Obituary
Deputies say they discovered Murdock in his car around 8:30 a.m. in front of the school.
He was transported to Tampa General Hospital and died at 10:43 a.m.
Murdock, a former wide receiver and double state sprint champion who graduated from Middleton in 2006, signed with South Carolina and played in four games for the Gamecocks.
As a high school senior, Murdoch caught 57 passes for 927 yards and 11 touchdowns. As a junior, he caught 33 passes for 835 yards and seven scores.
He was suspended indefinitely from the team in October 2006 after he was charged with shoplifting $424.50 worth of clothing from Macy's at University Square Mall.
Murdock signed with the Tennessee Titans as an undrafted free agent in 2011 and spent last season on injured reserve after suffering a right Achilles injury early in his rookie training camp, according to the team's website. He was listed on the Titans' Reserve/Did Not Report list.

Kerri and I worked at a local school together. She would bring "the twins" up to the school from time to time. We would encourage her to keep him off campus because he was so handsome and respectful. She would chuckle at us and so would he. Those are the fun memories I would like to share. Don't look at the last day look at the life and legacy he brought to the community.

Myself & my family are heartbroken. My son Damian Mayberry played football with OJ. OJ was a big brother to my son & my son is just devastated. We were blessed enough to see all of their football games while they played at FHSU, with 17 of those games live. OJ was my favorite of my sons teammates. He was the sweetest person & had the biggest smile. He always greeted us with a hug. We were blessed to meet his Mother, Grandmother, sisters and brother when they had attended a game. Very sweet family. My son said last night that you will FOREVER live through him, OJ & he will make you proud. OJ you meant a lot to our family as a whole & you will forever be missed.
