Patricia Goebel Obituary

GOEBEL, Patricia Joyce "Pat" 70, of Palm Harbor, passed away Tuesday, March 9, 2010 while in the hands of Suncoast Hospice. She has been battling health problems while being hospitalized since Oct. 6. 2009. She is survived by her loving husband Henry Goebel; sons Thomas Lane "Tom" and Henry "Allen" Goebel; and sister Constance Joan Henry "Connie" Potchatek, Cleveland OH. Patricia was born March 4, 1940 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, IN, to Thomas Lane Henry and Lois Blanche (Steinkamp) Henry. She graduated Thomas Carr Howe High School and later attended St. Petersburg College. Patricia met her husband Henry and wed Jan. 25, 1958, when she was 17 years old. This would start a life time of love and adventure for both. She was an accomplished pilot at the age of 22, loved to fish, wood working and remodeling. Attention to detail and passion for people would separate her from anyone else. From the Family: "Whether it was a teenager off the street or child at Christmas time, the less fortunate always found they had a friend. She always found time, not only to give a helping hand, but to share a piece of herself". Pat celebrated her 52 years of marriage while in the hospital. The Goebel family requests that donations be made to charity of your choice and that you keep the Palm Harbor Suncoast Hospice, Westlake Dr. in mind when making your decisions.
