Patrick Floyd Obituary

FLOYD, Patrick H., 88, of Tampa, formerly of Goshen, Ala., died Thursday, December 21, 2006. He is survived by three sons, Larry D. Floyd of Clearwater, Fla., Huey P. Floyd of Tampa and Mike Floyd of Nacogdoches, Texas; one daughter, Kay Floyd McRae of Tampa; one brother, William Paul Floyd of San Luis Obispo, Calif.; and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Voncille Floyd; brothers, Grady Lamar Floyd of St. Petersburg Fla., and Joe Thomas Floyd of Lake Placid, Fla.; and his sisters, Alma Pearl Floyd of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Sally Pearl Floyd of Orlando, Fla. He was active in civic and fraternal organizations in Tampa for more than 50 years, a member of A.W. Windhorst Masonic Lodge and the Scottish Rite Temple, a 32nd degree Mason, and a member of the Lions Club and Sertoma Club. A memorial service will take place at 2 p.m. January 13, 2007, at Shady Palms Retirement Homes, Inc., 14527 N. Florida Ave., Tampa. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to The Hospice of the Florida Suncoast.
