SORCHY, Paul C.

78, went to be with the Lord March 26, 2017. He was born in Cleveland, OH, and proudly served in the Navy for 32 years, retiring as a Chief Petty Officer. He worked at GE/Martin-Marietta in Pinellas Park for 30 years, then became a massage therapist where he worked with his son for 10 years. He was a great guy, a proud husband and dad. He had a way of knowing someone everywhere he went. He is remembered for his love for life, endless conversations, and stories. He always had a smile and a joke for anyone who had the time. Paul was a proud American who loved Jesus and his family. He was a member of the VFW, Knights of Columbus, Italian American Club, Polish League of American Veterans, Cleveland Brown's Backers (Dawg Pound), Elk's, and was an alter boy at St. Anne's in New Port Richey. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Patricia Sorchy; daughter, Carolyn Griffith; son, Dr. Paul C. Sorchy II; daughter, Teresa Murray; six grandchildren, Emily Griffith, Ellen Griffith, Paul C. Sorchy III, Jocelyn Sorchy, Jaimie Hartzog, Anthony Murray; great-granddaughter, Kylie Hartzog; and many nephews and nieces. Paul will be missed greatly by all those who knew and loved him deeply. The family has asked everyone who knew him to please come celebrate his home going. Visitation is Saturday, April 1, 12-2:30 pm, at Dobies Funeral Home, Congress St., New Port Richey. Service is 3 pm, at St. Anne's Catholic Church, Massachusetts Avenue, and then at 4 pm, in the hall please join us for food, fellowship, and the stories. Dobies Funeral Home/Congress
