Paula Patterson Obituary

PATTERSON, Paula Kay, 52, of Zephyrhills, passed away on Tuesday, July 20, 2004, at home. She was born on February 7, 1952, in Lima, Ohio, and was raised in the Catholic faith. Paula was the eldest of seven children, four of which, (three brothers and one sister), died as infants. She was a graduate of St. Mary's Academy in Monroe, Mich. She moved to Florida in 1984 and worked in Tampa for 19 years before retiring as a claims processor with Aetna. She belonged to the Silver Oaks Golf and Country Club in Zephyrhills. Her loving family includes her husband of 24 years, Pat; parents, Paul and Rita VanDemark; two sons, Troy Payment of Zephyrhills and Tim Payment of Germany; one daughter, Tara Patterson of Gainesville; one stepson, Scott Patterson of Hillsdale, Mich.; two stepdaughters, Tameria Gatlin of Daytona Beach, Fla., and Darsi Patterson of Wyandotte, Mich.; two brothers, Denny and Jeff VanDemark, both of Monroe, Mich.; and three grandsons, Jaydon, Carson and John Patrick Payment. The fami ly will receive friends 2-4:30 p.m. Saturday at Oakley Funeral Home in Dade City. A funeral Mass will follow at 5:30 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Zephyrhills. Memorials may be made to Hernando-Pasco Hospice or H. Lee Moffit Cancer Center. Oakley Funeral Home, 11441 Hwy. 301 South, Dade City, FL
