DRULIAS, Peter

84, of Clearwater, passed away March 27, 2016. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, with extended family and friends. He was known in the community as a well-respected restaurant owner that was hardworking and who gave everything to his family. He came from Ahladokambos, Greece to Chicago in 1951 and then moved to Clearwater in 1955. In 1956 he met his beautiful wife Katy and married in 1959 in Tarpon Springs. At this time he worked at his family owned business The Bay Drive Inn Restaurant located in downtown Clearwater until he opened Pete's Restaurant at Ten Pin Lanes in Clearwater in 1971. Then he opened the Chatterbox Restaurant in Dunedin Lanes in 1974 and then adding an additional location Chatterbox North in Palm Harbor in 1999, which is still presently owned by the family. Very rarely did Peter and his wife, Katy go anywhere around town without being recognized by his customers that he had served throughout the years. Peter is survived by his loving wife, Katy Drulias; son, William "Billy" Drulias his spouse Tammy; daughter, Katherine "Tina" Drulias-Dothe her spouse Fidel; and grandchildren, Peter Drulias, Nicholas Drulias, Deno Dothe, Deno Drulias, and Adriana Dothe; and preceded in death by his son, Constantine "Deno" Drulias. A viewing will be held at 10 with service to follow at 11 at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, Clearwater, Thursday, March 31. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church.
