FORNUTO, Petrina "Petie"

of Clearwater, 93, passed away Aug. 20, 2015, Petie is reunited with her one true love, husband of over 48 years, Mario, her one true love. Her spirit and stories are carried on by her sons, Anthony (Tracie) and John (Janet) all of Indianapolis, IN; 5 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; sister, Rose Caso; and many nieces and nephews. Formerly of New Hyde Park, NY, Petie was born and raised in Brooklyn and embodied the spirit of unconditional love for all her knew her. We were blessed to learn many valuable lessons from Petie during her 93 years, among them: Your mother is your best friend; when you receive money, spend some, save some, share some. Petie loved playing Scrabble and teaching others how to play. She loved a good board and exclaimed that in order to win, "you have to get the chips." She played the newspaper Word Jumble every day, but never solved the cartoon puzzle at the end because she "couldn't be bothered." She was passionate about music, sang in multiple choruses and never missed Lawrence Welk on Friday or Saturday night. She blessed and nourished so many people with some of the greatest Italian cooking ever... always to be followed with coffee, Entenmann's cake, a fruit cup, and a game of "Pay me". She never missed a birthday with a card and a ten dollar bill. She always had a cold drink for the maintenance crew along with cookies she picked up at Publix. We were forever reminded, "It's your life, do what makes you happy." She will be missed. Donations in her honor may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Memphis, TN. Arrangements by
