Robert Bryant Obituary

>BRYANT, Robert L. Sr., 58 of Dade City, Fla., passed away suddenly Friday, March 23, 2007, at his home. He was born January 3, 1949, the son of Marvin and Stella Lewis Bryant. He was from a Pasco County pioneer family. He graduated from Pasco High School in 1967 where he played football. He was currently serving on a committee to plan his 40th high school reunion. He attended Florida State University and was a graduate of University of South Florida where he was a member of the Alumni Association. He owned and operated his own business as a food broker. He had different affiliations with the food industry, one of which was the International Dairy, Deli and Bakery Association. He loved his family, citrus groves, cattle and loved to watch sports. He was proud of his heritage and teaching the values of the land. He was an avid historian, and he enjoyed reading about and visiting places of key historical significance. He was preceded in death by his father, Marvin Bryant; father and mother-in-law, Thurman and Arlene Burnett. He is survived by his loving family, his wife of 37 years, Beverly; his children, Robert Jr., (Melissa); Christie (Jason) Crosby; his mother, Stella Bryant; sister, June Kirby; his grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Austin Bryant, Courtney and Jacob Crosby. He enjoyed a special relationship with his aunt, Retha McBeth, and a host of other aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, brother-in-law and friends. Funeral services will take place 2 p.m. Wednesday, with visitation 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at Hodges Family Funeral Home, Highway 301 Chapel.
