Roland Padgett Obituary

PADGETT, Roland R., 60, of Tampa, passed away October 19, 2004. A native of Key West, Fla., and lifelong resident of Tampa, Mr. Padgett was employed by the Silver Ring Restaurant for 39 years and was of the Catholic faith. He was preceded in death by his father, Rudolfo Munoz; and brother, Eddie Padgett. Survivors include his beloved wife, Mercedes "Mercy" Padgett; mother, Candita Munoz; mother-in-law, Lois Rubio; sisters, Gloria Perez and Nina Floyd; brothers, Gene Padgett, Tony, Rudy, Raymond and Andrew Munoz; brothers- in-law, Nick Sais and wife Janice, and Carlos Somellan and wife Linda; five godchildren; and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. Graveside services will be held Friday morning at 11 a.m. at the Old Centro Espanol Cemetery, 21st Ave. and 26th St. Everyone is to meet at the cemetery for the graveside services. Pallbearers include Michael Perez, Andrew Munoz, Carlos Somellan, Tony Munoz, Raymond Munoz and Roy Floyd. Honorary pallbearers include Gene Padgett, Rudy Munoz an d Nick Sais. The family will receive friends this evening, Thursday, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., with prayer services to be held at 8 p.m. at the chapel of GONZALEZ FUNERAL HOME Julio & Adolfo Gonzalez-Roel 7209 N. Dale Mabry Highway (813) 931-1833
